Revamping E-commerce at Tout Faire Matériaux
I had the privilege of spearheading a significant e-commerce initiative at Tout Faire Matériaux, a renowned French supplier of building materials. Serving as an E-commerce Project Manager from 2021 to 2022 was both demanding and gratifying. The objective was straightforward: overhaul the current system to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
Addressing Advertising Campaign & Product Information Inefficiencies
A major hurdle we encountered was our advertising campaigns' inefficiency, with ROI falling short of expectations. Our aim was to refine these campaigns using sophisticated targeting methods, capitalizing on the revamped website and payment system. Additionally, it became necessary to update our Product Information Management (PIM) system and reorganize a vast catalog encompassing 90,000 products.
Developing a Solid E-commerce Platform
n response to these challenges, we implemented decisive measures: Website Redesign: We migrated from Magento 1 to Proximis for a more resilient and user-friendly platform. Akeneo PIM Implementation: This step facilitated improved management of our expansive product catalog. PIM Version Upgrade: Regular updates ensured seamless operations and superior data management. Catalog Restructuring: We thoroughly overhauled our enormous product catalog for increased accessibility and user-friendliness. Other key focus areas included backlog prioritization, external team coordination & planning, budget control, profitability maintenance, risk assessment, project scoping, informed decision-making processes,and conducting UX/UI design workshops.
