Factomos
Factomos building a better invocing process
Factomos, a comprehensive business management and invoicing Software as a Service (SaaS), is designed to optimize financial operations for small to medium-sized businesses. I began my journey with Factomos in 2018 as a Web Developer. Over two years, I helped create an efficient web development environment that significantly increased company productivity. My tenure was marked by cutting-edge projects such as integrating Blockchain technology into our Invoice SaaS to secure user data.
Fixing Inefficiencies and Enhancing Security Content
When I joined Factomos, the goal was clear: improve the efficiency of the web development processes and enhance the security of user data. The existing system needed a robust overhaul to meet the growing demands of over 3,000 clients while ensuring compliance with stringent French regulations. The challenge was not just technical but also involved fostering collaborations and training users to adapt to new technologies
Creating Innovative Solutions for Complex Problems
My role at Factomos involved developing both front-end and back-end solutions for our SaaS product. Using PHP and NodeJS for back-end development and Bootstrap, SCSS, and Twig for front-end work, I ensured our platform was both user-friendly and powerful. I developed REST APIs to facilitate seamless integrations and implemented unit tests using PHPUnit to ensure reliability. One of my significant contributions was integrating a Blockchain API. This partnership with another startup allowed us to protect user data more effectively, offering our clients peace of mind. Additionally, I managed our GitHub repository, handling merge and pull requests to maintain code quality.
Utilizing Advanced Development Tools
The tools I adopted played a crucial role in meeting our objectives. GitHub was key for repository management and effective handling of merge and pull requests. We used PHPUnit to carry out unit tests, guaranteeing the reliability and error-free nature of our code. For front-end development, Bootstrap offered a responsive framework, while SCSS provided enhanced styling flexibility. Twig served as our templating engine, simplifying HTML generation. Together, these tools helped establish a strong web development environment at Factomos.
